  Recently, I had the extreme pleasure of spending time at the beautiful Luxury Guesthouse, Anam Cara. As my sister, daughter and I drove through the lush Ireland country-side we slowed at the sign for Anam Cara and passed over an amazing stone bridge. As we looked toward the house our first impression was, “Wow, how beautiful!” Beautiful grounds surround the house. A waterfall and creek run under the stone bridge. Every window of the house had a window box brimming with bright and welcoming flowers. The easy grace of the driveway led us to the front door where Proprietors, Moira and Michael met us. Their greeting was as delightful as the picture-perfect surroundings we had seen thus far. Inside, the décor was crisp, clean, lovely and inviting. We were shown the rest of the house where the kitchen was spotless, the breakfast room, sweet, light and airy and the other main floor areas were available and waiting with lovely appointed furnishings. The upstairs suites and bedrooms summoned you to lounge on the beautiful beds with coverlets and pillows that offered dream-like luxury. Morning greeted us with a lovely breakfast service starting with yogurt, granola and fresh fruit in a parfait glass. Following that, you can have the “the full Irish breakfast” or other fare. Coffee, tea, juices, breads and sweets are also available. Later, we delighted in one of the many outdoor sitting areas. Just over the fence were several cows grazing in an amazing green, lush lawn-like pasture. Flowers, a swing bench, the bubbling creek and lovely views offered a sample of true beauty. A photo opportunity plus quiet and peace, truly bucolic. Moira and Michael happily directed to us to the sights and points of fun and interest. Visiting the castles, museums and later Dublin were treats we will always remember. I am already planning a return trip. I can hardly wait. If you are planning a trip to Ireland, I definitely recommend a “must see and stay” at Anam Cara, Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Carraigabruce Cherry Orchard, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland.   Without doubt, this is the best value for a luxury B&B in Ireland! Moira and Michael have created a grand, thoughtful, excellently appointed, beautifully designed Manor and grounds. They greet and treat you as old friends. Go before demand requires a rise in the price. The baths are spacious and well appointed. A great improvement over the typically spartan accommodations one encounters in the grand land of Ireland.

  A hidden gem. We were looking for hotels in the area after spending the day in Monart Spa. It was a great choice! A really nice alternative to staying in the Spa. Moira and Michael were the sound hosts and we were well fed leaving the next morning. Thanks again! We will be back.

  Beautiful property alongside a creek. Moira and Michael are amazing hosts and know how to make you feel at home. Highly recommended.
