  Worst service ever. Any time I ask them to do something for me e.g. Cancel a direct debit they bottle it. They've lost documents, ignored emails, and all sorts. Completely useless!

  Zero stars for zero service, we flew into Shannon Airport and rented a car our first stop was Limerick and from there we planned to travel south on the Wild Atlantic Way drive. We stopped at Jetland Shopping Centre to get orientated and change some US dollars to euros. This bank had no cashing services and the staff directed my husband in a rude and arrogant manner to another location. This store at Bank of Ireland sucks.

  unacceptable with no cashiers open. when I needed to take out a larger sum of money then available at the ATM I was told to go to a different branch which I think was unfair and disrespectful to their customers

  Absolute disgrace of a branch. There is no cashiers desk available at any time of the day at all. So unless you have a cash card don't waste your time! I don't think the Bank of Ireland actually want customers at all.

  Completely Unacceptable with No Service! This branch of Bank of Ireland is deplorable. Over the past number of years there has been a concerted strategic move towards the use of machines. Today, June 13 was the day the machines took over. Upon entering my local branch I was presented with the closure of all three cashier points. For a moment it looked like a teller had to service a machine or assist another customer, but after a short while a smiling employee then approached me and informed me that “They’re no cashiers available today.” and that I could return the following day to conduct my business. The Caherdavin branch location does all the normal things a bank does, but what really struck me today was their poor customer service. On recent visits when there's a long queue, someone usually comes over and asks me if they can help or shows me a machine I can use. There's always a queue when I go in, and it's very slow-moving as the level of service is often reduced to a single window. I initially left the branch as instructed by the junior staffer and returned again moments later to investigate why this branch of Bank of Ireland is run in such an unaccommodating manner. I then spoke to a senior member of staff who appeared from behind a closed door. Grainne Shanahan cited that the circumstances today was a “staff issue” and presented me with two options that this bank could not facilitate. Despite pointing out to Grainne Shanahan that I counted four staff members on duty and that it was incredible that no staff member could open a window to facilitate the purchase of a bank draft and change a large amount of currency that I was carrying. The senior member of staff explained that “the staff were not trained in cash handling” and presented me again with returning the following day when hopefully the branch would be staffed and kindly offered to give me the current (June 13) currency rate or travel over two kilometres to the city centre to carry out my transactions. If the management here ran a restaurant the same way they would say the waiting staff were’t trained to carry plates. Honestly, they may as well have shut the doors of the branch until the vital absent fifth member of staff returned to work. Bank of Ireland - Caherdavin is atrocious and bolsters an abysmal level of service, I will be seeking a new bank for my banking in the future.
