Dear Sir, Yesterday afternoon I had the misfortune to need a bottle of Codinex as a result of a flare up in my Bronchiectasis. I had two episodes of a choking cough in the hour before I had the double misfortune of entering Bradley's KCR to attempt to purchase the said bottle of Codinex which my consultant physician Dr Rizwan recommended I take when such an episode occurs. I asked the young girl for the medicine and got the usual questions which I answered. She then recommended Benyln which I declined and explained that my doctor had advised me to take Codinex and mentioned my condition. She still would not give me the medicine I asked for and went into the back of the shop to consult with the pharmacist and returned to ask me the same questions again to which I gave the same answers again. At this stage I was getting anxious as I was fearing another attack of coughing and so I insisted that she give me the Codinex. She turned away again and returned to the back of the shop. Then another young girl with a foreign accent came out and spoke to me like I was a 2 year old(I am 60). She asked me the same questions AGAIN! At this stage I felt embarrassed, belittled and demeaned as all this was taking place in full view of all the other customers in the shop. This second girl then proceeded to tell me that I needed a prescription or a letter from my doctor if I wanted her to give me Codinex. You and I both know this is completely FALSE. I knew then that this girl was on some kind of power trip and that my only option was to go somewhere else . I said goodbye and walked out and as I did I heard a loud and indignant 'Goodbye' from your team member! Now my cough was returning and I had to drive as fast as I could to another Chemist who asked a few questions, explained the dangers and sold me the Codinex. I returned home , took 10 ml of the medicine as advised and my lungs calmed down. Earlier in the year I wasn't aware of Codinex and ended up in The Blackrock Clinic for 5 days. I told my wife what had happened and she said ' What did you go there for ? They are always at that!' Well I won't go there again! These young girls are passing judgement on people when they don't have the life experience to do so while the lady with the experience to make that type of decision stayed in the background and wasn't bothered to get involved ! Regards Stephen Lyons

Went in asking for Bonjela or anything similar as my 8 week old baby is teething. The uneducated member of staff told me babies can't be teething this early. Really? I don't work in a pharmacy yet I've heard of kids teething at 4 weeks!?! She can't give me anything unless the kid is over 3 months and hands me this set of gloves. Guess Tesco is better than your pharmacy considering I got Bonjela at the self service till with 0 recommendations/advice/criticism. p.s. according to the Bonjela website, babies can take it from 2 months (8 weeks).
