  Fascinating that this is older than the pryamids! You need.to go to the visitor center first and ride the shuttle over, you cannot park at the site. Great tour and reasonably priced. Bonus: beautiful countryside views on the way and while you're there.

  We couldn't take pictures inside, so you'll have to go yourself to experience the sheer darkness of the cave. Truly a Marvel to behold. Mind boggling that it's over five thousand years old! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and showed a strong respect towards the people who built this, as well as the archeologists who excavated it. The center has a comprehensive museum that's informative and entertaining. One strange thing was that I ordered tickets for 2:15 PM, and we didn't get there til 2:45. I was worried we'd missed our tour, but actually, we didn't take the bus to Newgrange til 3:15, an hour after the ticket. It's so you have an hour to scope the museum, gift shop, and Cafe, IMO. The tour itself takes about half an hour and you have the chance to walk about the area, taking any bus back. This tour was a highlight on our trip!

  Guter Service. Wir hatten vor unserem Urlaub ein festes Zeitfenster gebucht. Wegen (leichten) Schneefalls drohte die Tour aber auszufallen, worüber wir am Vortag telefonisch unterrichtet wurden. Leider war Newgrange dann auch tatsächlich geschlossen, aber wir durften kostenlos in die gelungene Ausstellung und haben uns Newgrange dann nur übers Feld hinweg angeschaut. Schon sehr magischer Ort; vielleicht unternehmen wir einen zweiten Anlauf. Dann werden es hoffentlich 5 Sterne ...
