  I have have hired cars from the Galway office a number of times over the past 2.5 years. Every time service has been very quick and efficient, with the staff friendly and helpful. Almost all of these times, I simply walked in (without any call ahead) and left straightaway with the keys !

  Very convenient location, steps away from the train & bus station in the heart of Galway City. Booking my car was a easy, they had a nice selection of cars to choose from and I got a great price. Office was clean & warm and the staff were courteous & professional. The day I was there the office was busy but they were still able to process everybody in a reasonable amount of of time.

  I booked a car and was given a confirmation sheet for a weekend away with friends from the states. I booked the car nearly a month in advance, and shared my drivers license information with the man who took the booking. When I arrived to collect the car, I was told that since I was 24 years of age I couldn't rent with this company. I explained that no one had mentioned that age restriction to me when I came to make the booking, and that whoever took my license when I first came in must have taken my information. He said there was nothing to be done, he simply couldn't let me use the car I had booked (with confirmation in hand). This was a severe inconvenience as I needed to be in Kerry that same day, with my family for a holiday we'd booked. We were counting on using the car, but because the person who took my booking didn't tell me about any restrictions on age, and didn't check my own age in accordance with Budget's policy, I was denied and had to change my holiday plans.

  Staff at pick-up and drop-off were friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Daily rate was competitive, and extras such as insurance more reasonably priced than I have experienced with their competitors. Car was clean and mechanically fine. Only issue is a several-block walk between the office and the physical pick-up of the vehicle in a car park. At best, and with heavy luggage, it's inconvenient; on a wet or cold day (we were lucky with the weather), it would be a bigger inconvenience. Still, I would use them again.

  Wish to express my sincere appreciation to the honesty and integrity of the staff at this location. But especially to Tom Hester who found cash that was left in our rental car. The amount was transferred to the office and with a brief phone call to the head office in Roscommon the amount was returned to us in cheque form with in days. Thank you for a great experience.
