  I initially took my car to Car Parts Stillorgan for an oil change. The service was standard. I selected the oil I needed and asked for a filter change as well. Price seemed high at nearly 100 euro, but I paid and left. The oil is now due to be changed again and the drain plug was fastened so tightly that the bolt is now stripped and cannot be removed without using a bolt puller. Extra effort, time and money now has to be spent to fix an issue that shouldn't have been there. The plug was over tightened and regardless of lever length the bolt stripped. Never should have been a issue if the bolt was torqued properly. I will never have my car serviced here again. If a simple job was so easily botched I do not know how more technical work would completed.

  I called in advance to ask how much it would be to get 2 reg plates made up. I was told it was €25 for the pair. I asked if they had different types and they confirmed they did. I asked, if I needed the screw in type, did they put them on as well and they said yes. I called in to get them and, only after they had put them on, they tell me they were charging an additional €20!!! for fitting. There was no fitting required - they weren't the screw in types - one was put on with double-sided tape and just stuck on and the other one just slid into a bracket that was already fitted to the car. I could have done it myself and would have if I'd known they were going to charge. I just thought they were providing that as part of the service, the way other motor factor shops do. When I questioned it, the woman working there was extremely rude. I said that she hadn't clarified when I had called in advance that there was an additional charge for fitting and her response was "you didn't ask". She told me "of course we charge, it is a service we provide". I told her that I am aware that other motor parts shops fit them for free. In any case, if they were going to charge they should have told me when I was ringing up enquiring about prices. She was extremely rude to me. I'll never go back. I paid €45 for what costs €20-25 in other motor factor shops. I'll be telling everyone I know not to go here either. Total rip-off and extremely rude.

  I needed spare bulbs & fitting into my car. Really helpful mechanic who did 2 for the price of 1 & explained everything, price & quality of different brands etc, Highly recommend!

  Brilliant service! I called in last week & had my windscreen wipers replaced on the spot. No charge to fit them & the guy even sanded down the clip to ensure the new wipers fitted properly. The job was done within 15 minutes. No issues. Bosh! I'd happily recommend CPS.
