Revamp sees life sucked out of the once special family business. Food is hit and miss. Prices have gone up. Decor is lovely but more in line now with the rest of the establishments on the beach instead of its old unique style. Staff are still brilliant but overall disappointing experience.

OK, really hate to have to be one of these people who rants on the internet but here I am. Myself, my sister and some friends called in and ordered from what used to be one of our favourites the other night. It's late enough, we're all knackered and are expecting something within the standard 40 minutes to an hour but 2 hours later a very apologetic delivery driver shows up to our door with a discounted order. Fair enough, mistakes are made and this was a decent way to handle it. We open up the food and realise we're missing full meals, parts of meals (receiving just sauce etc) and the two beers we ordered. So we call them and with frustration they tell us that we ordered from the old menu but they would send out a prawn curry as a replacement. Despite that they had previously confirmed the order over the phone, they still make it out that we were at fault for ordering off the menu we were familiar with. How unreasonable of us. So we're pretty hungry picking at whatever cold bits we've been sent while waiting for the new order. My little sister very generously offers up the half chicken she got to share with everyone and at that point we realise that its actually an uncooked half chicken. Like little bit cooked on the outside but pink and rubbery on the inside. At this point I wondered if Aston Kutcher was going to emerge to blow a fog horn in our gaunt faces. When that didn't happen, I wondered if Salmonella was going to blow a fog horn down our intestines but thankfully neither of those bacterial diseases made an appearance. We call them and the chef gets on the phone to us saying he wants us to send the chicken back and 'that you better not be messing, don't forget I'm cooking your prawn curry right now' what sort of perverse threat is that? What exactly are you saying you're going to do to our prawns? Surely curry sauce would sting? Called them today and they told us that's just how they 'cook' it and that if we really had an issue we can come down to them to get a refund for the half uncooked chicken. I can't help but think the other half went to spoil someone else's evening (if you're reading this get in touch we understand what you've been through) It's a real shame, seemingly it's under new management but that doesn't really justify a) not even apologising b) not giving us a full refund. I only hope they read this and decide to do both of those things, or at least change the restaurant name to avoid tainting their former glory.
