Interesting place to visit. Explains the era of Vikings in Dublin. Then we go up in history. The statues there were very lifelike spooky to see them.

An interesting experience that lets you really get into Dublin's history in a unique way. Can't really describe it, one should try it to get the idea. And don't believe stories about Dublinia being pricey or whatever - Dublinia/Christchurch combo is more than worth the price.

Great place for the family and for all people who want to know more about Ireland's history aroundd Vikings and the Middle ages, shows very well the history of Dublin too. Good for kids but they need to be accompanied all the time, my 4 years old got a bit scared in some parts. It is though very hands-on and entertaining so we all left very satisfied.

Dublinia is a wonderful place for kids and adults alike! My teacher wife and I were totally captivated and enthralled by the displays, the interactive exhibits, and the overall presentation of the viking history and its impact on Dublin and Ireland. Don't miss the rubbing runes. My wife and I created the names of our grandchildren. They now hang proudly in my daughter and son-in-law's home in Toronto. The kind and wonderful people at Dublinia - especially Carolyn - were instrumental in helping us when our third grandson came along to complete the set. The climb St. Michael's Tower to the lookout deck. It is well worth the view it provides. The stained glass window in St. Michaels Bridge is well worth the look. Dublinia is a must see on your trip to Dublin.

I really wanted to love this place. I love medieval history and vikings, and my husband is a history major, so this museum was on the top of our list of places to visit while we were in Dublin. If you have kids, this is a fantastic place to take them, it really seems like from a child's point of view it would be quite a fascinating museum. If you're adults without kids with you, I would probably suggest that you skip this one. The exhibits are primarily centered on the history of Dublin and the surrounding area and how it came to be. If you're particularly interested in that aspect of Dublin, this museum has great information. All of the exhibits are really made for children though. The information is set at lower height for children's eye level, and it has a lot of interactive elements that are very child like. There are lots of things to lift to get more information, like hatches and boxes, or stick your hand into holes to guess the items. There are places where you can use crayons to take markings of glyphs. As an adult I felt a bit out of place without children. We still had a great time, but we have recommended to adult friends visiting Dublin that they should visit other museums instead. Like others have said, there is a great view from the top of the tower. If you're going to head to Guinness anyway, the view there is amazing and you won't miss anything by skipping this museum unless you're really into the history of how Dublin came to be and the role of the vikings in that history.
