  I loved it. It was a beautiful place where we can learn about Irish people, its history, Emigration, famous people etc. If you are in Dublin you MUST visit the museum and spend a period over there (morning or afternoon). But no rush, you need to get the climate of that place.

  I don't like multimedia museum. Just bad experience from the past. This one is first what I like and I enjoy every second there. What a amazing idea!!! This place make you busy all the time. You have no second to start thinking about something else. Great place. If you have time go and enjoy !

  Actually a lot more enjoyable than I expected! Superb use of digital technology to present the stories of Irish emigrants. Kids really enjoyed it, and learned quite a bit. Sometimes a little "twee" in places; you could see an Irish-American audience being clearly targeted. Equally it wasn't scared to show that home made problems were also drivers of emigration. (Women's and LGBT rights for example.) Docking one star for charging €1 for audio guides. It's a token fee, but given it's pricey enough for admission as it is, I would think it makes more sense to simply include this in the price of admission?

  Pretty neat and very interactive museum that really does a great job of covering Irish emigration through they centuries. Good for children and adults alike you could easily spend half a day here if you go though everything. Nice gift shop and you can search your surname to see how many possible relatives you still have in Ireland.

  This is a must see. Of all the venues we visited in Dublin, this was our favourite. It is an absolutely fascinating look at emigration throughout Ireland’s history. It covers many topics, such as the reasons why, famous people, cultural impact around the world, and contributions in science, literature, and the arts. The exhibits were superb, with a wide range of audio, visual, and interactive pieces. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. It is possibly our favourite museum out of all we have visited in our travels.
