::Our daughter's wedding party stayed five nights in Fanningtown Castle. The ceremony was outdoors and a brief reception was served on a patio. There are five bedrooms, three baths, a full kitchen, and a wonderfully rustic countryside. The proprietor was most helpful. It's a short drive to Adare, Ireland. And a half hour plus to Limerick.

::Our family stayed a week in June 2013. Mary and David were absolutely lovely. We had a wonderful time and our super fabulous digs were the highlight of the trip. We used the castle as home base for day trips all over the south and southwest of Ireland. The castle is amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The kitchen is great, pantry well stocked, furnishings gorgeous, spiral stair case and turrets for your inner princess, enormous beds complete with bed curtains- no kidding, there was even a plastic knight's sword for my eight year old...It was far and away the best value of our trip. The hosts are lovely and ridiculously patient with their guests. We can't wait to return. I cannot recommend Fanningstown Castle highly enough. We did Dromoland one year at Christmas and it was lovely, but, hands down, we would come back to Fanningstown every time!
