  I received top quality medical care from GBMC. I found their operation professional, friendly, efficient and clinically sound. Dr. Wilson looked after me well and I would highly recommend them.

  I wanted to get a private scan done for my pregnancy. I needed a blood test from my GP and a letter describing any preexisting conditions. I told my doctor this but she refused to give me the letter, telling me it wasn't necessary, even thought I stressed it was the policy of this other clinic. Of course the other clinic wouldn't see me without this letter. I tried to explain my frustration to the receptionist at Galway Bay Medical Centre and she was incredibly rude, completely insensitive to the fact that I am pregnant with the flu, so obviously a bit worked up at the moment, worried about potential complications a fever can have. She told me that I didn't appreciate everything she was trying to do for me. I really do not feel comfortable going back. I also told my doctor I had the flu during the same appointment, and she didn't even bother to take my temperature. Two days later the flu has developed into a bad chest infection. I worry that if this doctor doesn't even worry about fevers during pregnancy, then she can't take care of me properly during the rest of my pregnancy. As many women know, this can be a stressful time, and its a lot easier with understanding doctors.

  I was going to give only two stars because of the impersonal ansaphone service -- I prefer direct contact with human beings. But when I read that GBMC believes in evidence based medicine I decided to give a 5 star rating after all. Most doctors haven't even heard of the term.

  Ideal for those of us in the city centre. Excellent service. Thorough examination and treatment. Dr Kim is amazing.

  Situated along the quay in Galway city so very close to Eyre square. Ideally situated for anyone working in the city centre who may be commuting to work in Galway. Office is clean and tidy and the waiting room is well ventilated. Kids play toys and some literature are available. Doctor was prompt and professional and all that was required. Would recommend for sure.
