What a truly unique workshop, Eamonn is an amazing teacher and craftsman. Would highly reccommend this for any who loves getting creative or wants to learn something new :)

I enjoyed the spoon making workshop very much. Éamonn is a very clear communicator, feeding us bite-sized instructions, each followed by time to practice. He was encouraging, cheerful and thorough. The location, the group dynamic, the soup also added richly to the day. I've just picked up some willow and apple pieces and hope to make another spoon this weekend. Thank you Éamonn.

Really enjoyed my day spent at Eamonn's workshop. He is a very easy to follow teacher. His simple explanations of the properties of wood really helped my understanding of the basic principles of wood carving and aided getting the hang of the different techniques. I'd highly recommend this workshop to anyone with an interest in carving. It's informative, fun and the homemade soup's an added bonus! Love my spoon too! Thanks Eamonn.

Eamonn's a super kind fellow making amazing spoons and other fine objects out of wood in a traditional way. Looking forward to his spoon making workshop at his lovely studio in Westport tomorrow

Couldn't recommend the Hewn spoons and the spoon carving workshops Éamonn runs enough. You are made you feel at home from the start of the day as you're taken through each step in making a hand carved spoon, from the wood pile to the finished product. The finished spoons are beautiful and being on a workshop means you can see (and try) all of the finely crafted skills involved in their production. The workshops are perfect for anyone with an interest in design, craft, or anyone who'd like to try something new and different.
