Great value in lots of things and sometimes even better deals. Check out weekly!

Well laid out, easy to find everything, great special offers on fruit and veg, lovely fresh bread for much less than its competitors. Negative is they don't stock all items necessary for modern cooking so have to go to other stores. No fast lane for under 10 items, no self service.

Generally they make it up as they go along. Don't go by the adverts for what's on offer as the shop is packed with stuff from three months ago that they can't sell. No proper shelving in the cold areas so health and safety is an issue due to things falling from head height. The bakery is open to the environment, the flies and children's grotty hands. Staff wait until the shop is really busy before packing shelves, meaning the shop floor is an obstacle course of products and amadáns who can't figure out how the shop works. Never had any issues with the product range though... Apart from the gyros fried rice which no one wants but staff seem to keep packing it in there regardless.

Lidl is Lidl. It's decent and reliable, the staff are normally very friendly and helpful. Lidl Greystones is big (rumor is that they might be expanding which would be nice) and it has lots of parking. The store is a good size with lots of variety, although I would prefer to see more reliability of brand names which is something that is lacking a little. The produce is normally quite good but you have to make sure you don't get something that has gone off, the staff stack crates of fruit and vegetables but they normally don't have the time to check every item individually, it is not M&S after all but then again it is much cheaper so can't complain. They have their normal area of mixed changing items for sale, check their website for details of what is on sale at any given time.
