  Absolutely shocking experience. Ordered delivery. I'm 5 minutes up the road. Took 55 minutes until I got a message saying it was on the way through Just Eat. Called after 10 minutes. They apologised and it was "on the way." 25 minutes later, called again and was put on hold for 5 minutes. Offered nothing but an apology. Had to demand new food be cooked and delivered as they thought the food would still be warm when it got here. Never ordering through Mao dun laoghaire again. If I could give it no stars I would.

  Used to be great. Now it's just cooking by numbers. Save your money and try one of the many independent restaurants in Dun Laoghaire

  Cancelled order and walked away over outside seating. Midweek, outside seats were ready to use but the management were not happy that one of us wanted to order from Mao and the other person wanted to order from the place next door and sit at one table. Same policy from next door too. Both places was very quiet. We went instead to friendly cafe on the main street. (2015)

  Mao in dun laoghaire is absolutely awful. 3 adults and 4 kids and none of us enjoyed the food. We complained 4 times. The girl came back and told us that she tasted our food and it tasted just fine! Chicken satay skewers came with plum sauce! I asked for the satay sauce that should come with it and was told it would be too spicy! All of the sauces tasted the same. Very bad experience here unfortunately.

  Pretty quite restaurant and they insisted we wit by the door. The underlying seasoning is over powering or not natural (I think they dosed my dish with garlic powder.... I was stinking the next day). Son was complaining about stomach aches later in the night... Not as clean as you would like.... Just didn't like this place. This is my first poor review but really annoyed leaving. Service did the best they could but yeah.... I don't see myself sitting in Mao again to eat.
