  A year ago my dad got transferred to the intensive care ward , he received excellent all-round service the doctors and nurses work so hard for him, nothing was out of the question I really appreciate all the help and support that we as a family received, thank you for everything

  DO NOT GO TO MERCY A&E. This a&e is an absolute joke. Arrived at 5:30, there was a sign that said estimated wait time 4-5 hours and 6 hours later still nothing not even told if I would be much longer. They then eventually brought me into the back to "see a doctor", all the did was check my blood pressure (which had already been done) and then offer me 2 Panadol for my pain.... They then let me know that the doctor won't be seeing me yet and asked me to go back to the waiting room??? Cold night and air con blowing down on everyone the whole time in there. Definitely after catching something else just from waiting. If I could rate it lower I would not even the staff wanted me there, got questioned on why I came here? Even tho they knew South doc sent me straight there. Do not go here if you can avoid it. Don't think I could have found a better way to waste my time.

  Problems with breathing, heat... Visit at 4 am... Now is 8 am and still no doctor.. Joke. And they want charge 100€. For what? For joke not a healthcare.

  I can only rate the service in the mercy hospital based on medical care that my family, friends and I received over the last few decade's. They are under staffed and under paid. It is a credit to the nurses, doctors and all staff here who come to work 24/7 to serve the city and county's ill. My family and friends over the decades have been treated with respect and the level of professionalism in the mercy is second to none. They are under staffed and under paid. The A and E is always busy here as it is the only city centre A and E remaining. The north infirmary is closed for many years now and the south infirmary A and E is also closed down.
