This is definitely the best place to go in Dublin when you're in the mood for meat. At least the best I've been to. I specially like being able to order a mixed board to share and they've got great sides included (if you ask me, go for the sausage and mash)

I came here for dinner while on vacation, and enjoyed the overall experience. The food was an excellent take on American style BBQ with a unique local flavor. I had the pork board, and really enjoyed the pulled pork and the pork belly. I also had the baked beans and mashed potatoes; the potatoes were great but the BBQ sauce base used for the beans had a lot of vinegar (same for the bottle of sauce on the table). Bear in mind that my taste buds aren't use to a lot of vinegar in sauces, so it's just my personal opinion. I think it would be nice if they also had a bottle of hot (i.e., spicy) BBQ sauce on the table. Perhaps something along the lines of a Kansas City style sauce. Overall, I had an excellent meal, enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff, and recommend stopping by for a meal if you're ever in Dublin.

Must go to place for all the meat lovers. I had tasty beef and chicken there. Sides are quite good, esp. sausages :) Portions are rather large. If you have vegetarians in your group, they can order food from their sister restaurant and have it at My Meat Wagon.

I think this place is great. Have eaten here a few times and first time to review it. The Smithfield area is slowly being gentrified and this restaurant is a testament to that. It's a modern, relevant, yet causal place to enjoy a selection of well prepared slow cooked meats with, what appears to me, to be a carefully selected craft beer menu. You start by ordering either of the 3 main options. A standard Burger/Brisket or roll (Sausage - hot dog option). If you don't want the bread that's okay you just get the meat. 1 side accomapnies. Meat in a box is next. First you select a meat, Beef/Chicken/Pork and then you pick 2 sides. The sides are usual enough. Fries/Coleslaw/Onion Rings/ Beans/Mash etc. If you are very hungry you can get a combo meal and you get pick two meats. I recommend the beans as a must. They are amazing and have little bits of pork in the sauce as well as being really nice. I say that as normally not a fan of beans. Finally there is meat on a tray. Again it's picking a meat and your sides and is bigger than the meat in a box and is prepared slightly differently. The meal was a delicious beef dish. It was so well cooked the meat was falling off my fork. The portion was large and it took me awhile to finish it. This place is great for a causal dinner with a friend or your girlfriend/boyfriend but not if they aren't Into meat. I'd avoid this as a date location also unless both people are into this type of food.

This is the smoker and mixed platter which is amazing! The smoker is the option that allows you to have a taste of all the meat available but is worth it at the price of €60 but with two free drinks and 2 free sides which makes for a solid meal Through and through this establishment by the name alone is not vegetarian or vegan friendly but for the carnivores among us is fantastic and threat is cooked to perfection. All in all it is a solid place which is out of the city center which is above par food cooked to perfection.
