  Top of the line service, hospitality and local accommodations. I've stayed at the Old Ground several times and they treat me like a good friend and not just a customer. If you're in the Ennis area, the Old Ground is a must.

  I was wonderfully treated to this amazing hotel. Can not give them enough compliments. The rooms are so clean and comfortable, the beds are like sleeping on a cloud. The food is amazing and huge portions. The staff are so professional, friendly and welcoming really wish I didn't have to leave. Will definitely be back to this hidden gem. Thanks so much to all the staff.

  We have had many many family occasions in The Old Ground Hotel and have never been disappointed they ALWAYS deliver. David Maxwell has also been extremely kind and helpful on previous occasions. I could not recommend this venue highly enough. At the Town Hall restaurant I booked a party of 14 for dinner without specifying what the occasion was. Just after we ordered our food the restaurant manager Mary brought two helium balloons to our table congratulating my partner and I on our engagement. Everyone except my mother ordered a starter so rather than have her sit there watching us all eat they brought her a little espresso cup of soup complimentary so she wasn't left out! After the main course we received personalised desserts congratulating us on our engagement with our names written in chocolate even though I hadn't even ordered a dessert! Such a special night made so much more memorable by Mary and staff, her friendliness and professionalism blew us away. Keep it up.

  Over all our stay here was fine but a few issues. Firstly parking was very hard to get when we arrived, we'd to park a good bit away so moving small children and luggage across the car park in the rain was a bit of an inconvenience. Our room was fine and staff were very nice. We also had dinner at the hotel but the service was no great. My husband ordered tea at the end but he only got an empty cup and no pot of tea, a few reminders to staff but never arrived. The same for my children's ice-cream my daughters arrived but no my son's, eventually we gave up and they shared my daughter's one, which was fine. Breakfast was similar the next morning we waited for ages for our tea and toast but it never came. Eventually we got cups and we got s pot of tea from another guest. All a bit mad. But overall it was fine. The room were the event we were going to was lovely and the staff at there were again very friendly.

  Incredible hotel with friendly staff! We arrived a little early but they were able to check us in. They offer free parking, which is a huge plus in Ennis! The room was nicely decorated and it had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! The hotel has a pub attached and it offers great food and live Irish traditional music. We were able to easily walk around town and see a ton of lovely sites. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Old Ground House to anyone.
