La meilleure adresse pour s’offrir un magnifique pull irlandais, ou s’acheter de la laine pour le tricoter soi-même. Le choix de laine n’est pas très étendu, mais la sélection de Donegal est parfaite. The best place to spoil yourself with a traditional Irish knitted jumper, or the yarn to make it. The range of yarn is relatively small, but has all the Donegal you’ll need.

This is much less a place for tourists than for those who appreciate true craftsmanship in weaving and knitting and a shop owner who's made it her life's work. The finest Irish knits and woolens available under one roof. Expensive, and deservedly so.

THE place for Irish knits and textiles. Not to be missed.

Anne was absolutely charming. My friend's wife told me when she found out that I was going to Ireland "You're buying me a sweater while you're there!". My sister found this shop and Anne didn't quite have what I was looking for, though she even went down to the basement and brought one up that was very close. Then she told be that she wouldn't sell that to me, stating the quality wasn't to her standards. She arranged to have a woman who has knitted for her for 45 years to do the sweater custom. The price with shipping came out to 5 euros less than the one she had shown me. A very pleasant experience, I had to give her a hug by the time we left there after being there for an hour!

What a history lesson! Ann knew just about everything about everybody. My husband bought a waking hat that he'd been jonesing for, and I bought some hand dyed, hand spun tweed yarn to make him a scarf to go with his hat. The lovely knits and woven items just begged to be caressed.
