  It's a great shop with nice staff. Until you meet the owner! Total absence of basic social skills, customer service skills are not even a concept for Paul O'Connor. If you walk in and see a middle-aged man at the till - RUN

  This is an excellent shoe shop with lovely staff. They're excellent with kids and I've been buying shoes there now for years. They have great stock too.

  Terrible customer service, left review with other reviews on Paul o Conner shoes Facebook page but not to my surprise all reviews have been removed. Buyer beware! After year's of buying in this shop I always found staff kind and helpful. Only last week I meet the owner who was far from above. Paid €57 for DC's and treading coming apart after a few wears. On returning he told me young lad must have done something to them. He sent to a cobbler who restitched them and gave them back to me...not good enough. They now look old and damaged. If good customer skills and customer service were provided then this would be a 5 star review. Would love to be able to put up photos of same as I did on Facebook( review's now removed).

  I would actually give zero stars but unfortunately I don't get that option.! Bought a pair of kids clarkes shoes here last September for a 3 yr old girl - the shoes were faulty and not up to normal clarkes standard. They were severely marked from not even 12 hours of wear - I returned them to the store and was asked to leave them there by a staff member - who agreed with me the shoes must be faulty - for Paul the owner to see them. When I rang the following day I got zero satisfaction from him - he told me that the must gotten marked from her being on a bike! She didn't even own a bike and at the time the weather was torrential rain! As I wasn't getting anywhere with him on the phone and his attitude was rude I said I would come and collect the shoes - so about a half an hour later I arrived at his shoe store in Ballincollig and low and behold there was Paul O Connor himself standing by the till PAINTING over the faulty shoes that I gave him!! That was his idea of fixing them!! They looked worse now at this stage then what they originally had!! Again he was extremely rude and very ignorant - in the end i left and contacted Clarkes themselves who couldn't have been more apologetic and helpful - they immediately refunded me my money for the faulty shoes. I would not recommend this shoe store - plenty of other people have left bad reviews of him and his store on his Facebook page but he has now removed them.
