::I rang beforehand to enquire as to if they have a DVI-D to VGA adapter. I was told that I could use a VGA to HDMI adaptor instead. I said that this wouldn't work and the man told me in a patronising tone that I have just switch the cable around. I informed him that no this would not work as I have three screens already connected to my GPU, I have taken up the two hdmi and displayport. The only slots left is a DVI-D and displayport. He checked again and said that they have an adaptor in stock. I was able to get to Fermoy today and stopped in this evening. After some time going back and forth looking for the adaptor he gave me one and said it was DVI-D to VGA. I was waiting for the payment to go through when I realised he'd handed me a DVI which is entirely different. Thankfully the payment was declined... which he made a smirking comment about, however I had used the contactless to pay, there is a limit of €30 per tap and per day. Since I had spent money elsewhere it just required me to enter my pin number. I explained that I had just driven 25min to get there, for the sole reason of this adaptor. He kept replying in a sarcastic manner, never once apologise for his inability to tell the obvious difference between a DVI and DVI-D. I will never step foot in that shop again, the way I was treated is beyond insulting.
