  Oh my goodness this place!! 12 of us stayed at the St. George accommodation last weekend for my sister's hen weekend. It was fabulous! Being February we had the place to ourselves with access to the tennis courts, boating on the lake, walks around the grounds and gardens, and a heated swimming pool! The weather was really cold so we didn't avail of the tennis or boating but made plenty use of the pool! The accommodation itself is amazing. Lovingly renovated and decorated. 6 double or twin rooms, all en suite with showers and baths. A little self catering kitchen area which was perfect for us. We couldn't believe how lucky we were to have hit on such a find! We watched rugby in the games room on the Saturday followed by some table tennis. Although we went out to Galway city to eat Saturday night, we didn't have to and could have happily stayed put the whole weekend. We were a little late checking out (due to staying too long in the pool!) but Marshall, the lovely owner, never made us feel anything but welcome, despite having another booking after us, and we made the quickest possible exit. I'd recommend this place to anybody. Thank you Marshall!

  First rate rural accommodation in castle grounds. Excellent place for relaxing with family and friends. Cook yourself, go out or call in chef available. Beautiful views over Ross Lake. Galway city and Oughterard close and accessible for lively nights out. Close to mountains, fishing and beaches.
