  Without knowing it I hit the jack pot when booking into Sal's B&B it is directly across the road from the bus terminal. Just what I needed next, having returned the hire car way out on the Cork Road (staff kindly drove me back to town). Sal's welcoming staff generously took my luggage all the way to the top, where I had a large comfortable room looking out over the River Suir. Tariff included a hearty breakfast that set the day off, just delightful wandering through the little lanes and arcades. Waterford Book centre is a must, a huge old theatre that is amazing to browse through. Little POs everywhere who will post packages home safely for you. This is an easy town to navigate and mixes old with modern without losing any charm.
