  Great hotel if staying in Sligo, it's very central and makes access to any of the surrounding areas easy. We have been a few times while getting our family tree information. Rooms basic but clean, breakfast buffet with lots of choices, and staff very friendly. It's also great to have a swimming pool and small gym available for relaxing. Joan

  Great rooms, fantastic friendly staff. A good buffet breakfast and a comfortable bar. The evening meal in the dining room was delicious. It has a nice swimming pool. The only let down was the sauna & steam room, but it didn't spoil our stay. Will definitely stay here again.

  This place looks haunted which I loved! You can see that is pretty old... the food delicious and excellent vibe... I went to sleep early but my friends said that they had a band playing which was sooooo fun!!! I

  Comfy bed is where the nice things end. Being dated doesn't bother me but this place is falling apart and hasn't had investment in decades. Cobwebs on the ceiling means no proper checks on rooms, window leaking wind so very draughty in room. Breakfast is woeful so should be included in price at the least. Rooms are very small and carpets throughout are walking. Anyone know what a silver fish is? Look them up before they visit you at night in the bathrooms. Hot water all gone by 5pm. Leisure centre jacuzzi has been broken for years as have many other things in that area. Staff are pleasant though so I pity them having to work here. Nothing against the place but I should have checked more and they should be investing more for what they are charging.

  Lovely old place. Staff very helpful. Gorgeous open fires in the foyer & bar - I could happily sat beside the fire for the evening. Only one drawback - a lot of steps up to the entrance which an older person could find difficult although there is wheelchair access around the side/back. I think the bar food is nicer than a meal in the restaurant
