  Though it's been over 2 years since I was here, I Would avoid again at all costs. Psychiatrist had zero empathy or humanity, some of the nurses were extremely rude and unprofessional and food is terrible considering the high cost of staying here.

  My father was admitted to the Dean Swift Ward, Communication was extremely poor, As the previous review states - Doctor O Ceallaigh is incompetent, the turnover of staff is so high on the Dean Swift ward that nobody knows whats going on, the staff seems to change daily, no continuity of care, try ringing O' Ceallaigh or getting in touch is impossible. O' Ceallaigh himself has not a clue whats going on in the ward. Tried asking the registrar how my father was, the only information I received was that there's no change, but in reality she hadn't a clue. I went into his room he was banging him head off the wall. Costing approximately 500 euro a day and the place is a circus, and even at 500 a day they charge additional to do the Laundy. If your sick I would advise going into the public sector as a private patient. Avoid this place at all costs. The Website is fraudulent, "non profit", if you want to see where the money is going - take a look at the private car park where you will find a dozen 6 series BMWs or its equivalent. It is an absolute disgrace what goes on here, I wanted to make a complaint about St Pats but there's no one to complain too. The mental heath commission do not comment on individual cases so the question must be asked - How in God's name do they regulate this place ??

  Psychiatry is not about healing, there all about labeling. They get it from the DSM Manual, its the slating manual. Psychiatry will never be about healing. They don't heal, they just label. They have the audacity to all themselves doctors, there look downers and abusers, stay well clear. and they laugh all the way to the bank. Lets end the Psychiatric abuse its about time it comes out. Hush Hush. Healers not in a million years slaters instead. Have you ever heard of doctors leaving someone with there condition for life. This is what these monsters will do. You will forever be left with your LABEL. And the Stigma that comes with that. Take your health into your own hands. These people will not make you better.
