  Poor customer service! I got a few items today (28.12.17) in Superdrug store in Pavillions, for the value of €24.41. At the till, I gave to shop assistant €20 note and was looking in my purse for coins. I had €4.40 in coins which I gave to him and apologised for not having 1cent. He said that he can't let me off 1 cent. I reminded him that Ireland is eliminating 1and 2 cents and all businesses are rounding the price however he said "No, we don't do that". I had no choice but to take out a €50 note. Before leaving the shop I asked for the manager to give them a feedback. Unfortunately, the manager was quite defensive about the situation and did not display the normal courtesies and logic when talking about insisting on me paying 1 cent, particularly when the whole country is phasing them out. For example: When I said that I never had experience in any other shop where shop assistance make a big deal out of 1cent, he replied: "I did". After that reply, I realised that my feedback is "going" nowhere. If this is how Superdrug deals with such a small issue, how do they deal with a bigger issue? Very unprofessional!
