  STAY AWAY. I have no words to describe the terrible experience i experienced with Michelle in Swan lake. I ordered 3 bridesmaids dresses and to say i had a difficult time getting my hands on these dresses is an understatement. Very similar to other reviews here. Wouldn't answer the phone, i had to get into the car and drive down due to lack of contact and then she just lied and lied when we met. When i eventually got my hands on the 3 dresses (and it took many many more visits and pleading) she had measured one of my girls wrongly and the dress didn't even zip up. I had to go and get major alterations done and this was literally the week before my wedding. I honestly have never before experienced anything like this. My only advice is DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE AND STAY AWAY.

  Would give zero stars if I could. Disgraceful service, once she had my money, Michelle was unreachable and might have well disappeared. Phone calls from numerous numbers, FB messages & texts all ignored. Still waiting for contact 4 months later. AVOID AVOID AVOID

  If I could rate Swanlake Couture less I would. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. My bridesmaids were due to get measured the week before the wedding as one of my bridesmaids is pregnant. We arrived down to Athlone to be told that Michelle had contacted us - she had only contacted us 20 minutes before by text. To text is unprofessional but to text only 20 minutes before an appointment is highly unprofessional. We received no apology. She did not have our dresses but promised they would there on Monday and she would come to Kildare to fit the bridesmaids on Monday @6:30. My husband tried to ring her when I got home, as he was annoyed and worried, but could not get a reply. Over the next few days myself, my husband, my sister and my Mam all tried to contact Michelle via phone, text, email. She did not respond until Wednesday still promising that the dresses would be there. At this stage my sister had had to go and get wrap dresses from a department store as a backup. My sister also contacted Jeutonic in Kilkenny and MK Bridal in Navan who were going to go above and beyond to make sure I had gold Sorella Vita dresses for our wedding. They were so kind. Shop with them! My sister tracked our dresses and liaised with Michelle and got the dresses on Friday morning. The seamstress came to Kildare with Michelle to fit my bridesmaids. The dresses were altered and brought to us at 9:00 that night, the night before the wedding. If it wasn’t for my sisters persistence and determination, I don’t think we would have had the dresses for the wedding and judging by the other reviews here, we wouldn’t have got the 50% Deposit back either. This is a horrific way to operate a business. No matter what your circumstances are you must have some way to ensure that your business runs smoothly and that your customers are not affected. The lack of communication is unforgivable. I lost a 1/2 stone in the week coming up to our wedding from stress due to Swanlake Couture which jeopardized my dress fit. We got the dresses in the end and only thanks to my Mam and my sister, we got the alterations for free but that does not excuse the stress and upset that Michelle caused the week before the wedding. Do not shop here.

  After previously giving this shop a 5 star rating I have sadly had to change it. Like another poster here I have paid 50% on 4 bridesmaid dresses with no sign of them. They were originally meant to be ready to collect about a month ago now. I have been unable to get in touch with the owner after texting, ringing and messaging on facebook the last week. Getting married in just over two weeks and it looks like I will have to try and source bridesmaid dresses else where. I cannot express how utterly upset and stressed this has made me.*** UPDATE*** I never got the dresses but I did end up getting my money back, it was tough work getting it though. I am afraid other people would have just given up because of the stress.

  Shocking level of service. Like the previous recommendation, I am very stressed and doubting will I get my dresses at all at this stage. It took me about a week to try and contact previously to make appointments. Now when trying to collect my dresses my appointment was cancelled on the day when already on my way down to collect the dresses. I missed out on a day's pay. NO accommodations were made (The owner couldn't contact her employee for two days to open the shop). We previously had to travel all the way to Athlone unannounced to contact the owner as she wasn't returning calls, texts and voicemails for over a week. She was in the shop, phone on the table in front of her. No excuses or apologies given. I am still awaiting to be accomodated. I was informed by another stressed customer after having paid the 50% that I would have trouble getting my dresses. This has proven to be true. I have had such a stressful experience. UPDATE:Didn't get my dresses, no excuse given, found out owner lied, employee who I was supposed to have my appointment with hadn't worked there for over a year.Had to struggle since to get my money back.Got a full refund back after much grief and threatening legal action.
