  Really nice place was very quiet when I was there but had a feeling it gets very busy at night I has a nice bite to eat the food was really good and the staff were friendly great spot in a beautiful village

  taaffes pub few days ago on a stag and found it was the best place I've even been... staff are very friendly, food is amazing and the atmosphere was the best I would recommend visiting this little town....music Saturday nights and night club upstairs

  Such a lovely little pub, friendly atmosphere. All the locals so welcoming. Bar man Ryan couldn't have been more friendly, down to earth exactly what you would expect from a good irish bar man. Added the extra touch, certainly makes the place with his friendly personality .Highly recommend it.

  Came across this place last year and instantly loved it. As the oldest castle. In carlingford it has plenty of character. If you can grab the wing back chairs by the fire then you're in for a comfortable pint.

  A remarkable venue with excellent and efficient service, familiar faces behind the bar on each occasion we visited, which says a lot about any great business. We had the BBQ and our vegetarians were also accommodated with gorgeous food. The BBQ area is a dimly lit castle with castle seating and really hoards the experience of being in a medieval and historical place. I can't thank the staff enough for looking after us and ensuring we had a great evening and night. Taaffes also offer accommodation and the self-catering houses they offer are spotlessly clean, with plenty of beds, and seating areas. We had 10 persons in our group and each had their own bed, some had a double bed and some had bunk beds. The house also had enough bathing facilities to accommodate our group, so nobody was left waiting to powder their nose for too long.
