  Great for smaller items and meal deals but the store is usually only half stocked

  Staff need more proper training as I have been denied to buy alcohol with my passport ID card which I used for travel and issued by Irish government. After do a bit shout here and there finally I manage to purchase it. That also after asking 2 member of staff. Again the staff don’t know why she taking about and yes she need to open her eye more with new things happening. Maybe she don’t even know government is already issuing ID card. 😒

  Gave this place a 5 star for a long time up until today. Have been to Dublin many times over the last 5 years. Flying all the way from Canada with my wife, came in to buy a single smithwicks as a gift for my irish-canadian mother. I was denied sale with my GOVERNMENT ISSUED 3 stage photo id, 24 years old, this license also lets me rent a car and drive in your country. But yet I was told it was no good. Disrespectful to me and my country. There are other grocery stores in the area I can purchase my things at from now on. Will NOT be back. Also your employee at self serve (the one who denied my ID) was barely able to function as a human, she was completely incompetent with helping others prior to myself. When dealing with me personally she took my id and said she would have to ask a manager, turned her head and looked back at me and said sorry i can't accept this. As a grocery department manager in Canada I assure you she would not be able to find employment in my country in this field, 0/10 for customer service and 0/10 for competency.

  Never fully stocked, poor selection generally, annoyed and rude staff (with the exception of one young lady), just a miserable experience every time. Not sure why this Tesco is treated as if it were on the edge of the universe, but it seems very poorly managed. Probably the worst Tesco I've ever been to.
