  This is a very well established B&B which is immaculate in it's appearance. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and the white walls are spotless as if recently renovated. The feeling you get staying here is more that of a hotel than a B&B as in you will not have much contact with the owner. If you are looking for a more homely experience this may not be the place for you. The rooms are spread over 4 levels and there is no elevator. This is not necessarily an issue, however keep in mind you'll have to carry your luggage up by yourself. Breakfast was very decent, however we have had better coffee and tea at other establishment.

  It is a nice, cozy place to stay for a couple of nights. I liked the decoration in all house and rooms. Angela is nice and she serves a really nice full Irish breakfast. It is a right place for couples! Nice location close to UCC and parks! Thanks Angela! Cheers from Brazil!

  Reservation cancelled without notice!! Don't plan your vacation around a stay at the Blarnet Stone Guesthouse. They cancelled our reservation the day before our stay. When we called the day of our reservation to confirm our time of arrival we were told that they had cancelled our reservation the day before because when they tried to charge our stay to the original credit card used for the deposit and they found that it was not valid. I have never heard of someone trying to charge the balance of your stay before you had even arrived! Our credit card had been compromised a few weeks before our vacation so we had gotten a new card to replace the old one. They said they tried to email us, which I confirmed never happened, and when they couldn't they cancelled our reservation. They told me I should have contacted them to let them know and I let them know I had never heard of such a request. We stayed in 7 other place while in Ireland with the same situation on the card and no other facility cancelled our reservation or even expressed a concern. We used our new card at all those other stays without issue. When I expressed my deep displeasure over the situation they weren't the least bit remorse and didn't even offer to find us another option for a stay. I asked for a refund on my original deposit and they wouldn't refund that either. I have stayed at thousands of places around the world and have never experienced anything like this before. While I loved Ireland I would never recommend the Blarney Guest House to anyone. I am not a review writer, this is my first, but I felt it necessary to let others know not to take a risk with your trip to Ireland and possibly end up sleeping in your car!
