::The atmosphere and general ambience was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. My starters Deep fried Bree was very good. My main course of a fish platter was ok. Overall we would recommend this pub for food.

::Came here twice. First time .. food lacked big time I thought maybe it's because it's overcrowded, packed with tourist I just happened to go to howth on a very busy day. I wasn't expecting the service to be great as it was so busy. Food was so poor! The second time .. I went on a much quieter evening. Service was good, although the kitchen is a tiny hole, the food needs improvement, no matter how busy a restaurant is or quiet, I feel love still needs to go in to the food. Lacking that big time here, onion rings the flour from the batter was sliding off the onion, looked like they where all thrown in the fryer at once and not cared for at all. 3rd time lucky maybe ... I think not. Wouldn't give this place any more business for the future so many more restaurants in Howth that well top this place.

::A very nice pub, excellent fish and chips and drinks. A good price for what is provided. Good atmosphere with a real fireplace inside, giving the place even more of an authenticity.

::This place is great for a late drink. It is very lively and great people around always. It's a bit loud and dark so it isn't really my type of bar. Gets a bit crazy on a Sunday night with people dancing on the countertops and tables. Great if you like this type of thing

::This place was fantastic! The food was excellent. We ordered beef and Guinness stew, fish and chips, & a burger and chips. Each one was delicious. Drinks were well made. Ambience was great with dark wood and a fire place going. Our server was very friendly. I highly recommend checking it out.
