Great hotel in a great location! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Like the style... Traditional modern fusion.

Room could be a bit more updated considering it is a 5 star hotel, but overall everything was great until we interacted with the overnight person at reception. We came back to the hotel around 11:30pm and asked the man working at the front desk for bottles of water to be brought up to our room. He insisted that we had to get them from the bar and insinuated that we were lazy because we wanted them to be brought up to our room. The water never arrived so I went downstairs to get water from the bar and this man continued to argue with me for about 5 minutes. I explained that this was not what I had expected from a 5 star hotel and that I had experienced much better service at 3 and 4 star hotels. Instead of just saying sorry about the miscommunication and handing me the bottles of water, he insisted that his attitude was in alignment with 5 star service, and continued on until I finally just walked away from him and got on the elevator. When we checked out in the morning I spoke with two women who seemed very shocked at the situation and insisted that he would be spoken to about the incident. They offered us free breakfast, but we did not have time to stay. Considering we spent over 250$ per night, I was fairly shocked that we were not offered money back or even a voucher to stay at another hotel in the future. If we were offered something else, since we could not stay I would have felt that they were truly sorry for what had happened, instead I feel like nothing will be done about how we were treated and that the Fitzwilliam Hotel does not care. Really not satisfied with the level of service at this hotel and definitely will not be returning.

We stayed at the Fitzwilliam for the first two nights of our Ireland trip. It was great to be able to come from the airport to somewhere with such excellent customer service. We were able to check in early and freshen up, which was really nice. The location is fantastic, right across the street from St. Stephens Green, and right on the corner of Grafton Street. The hotel restaurant had great breakfast, and the bar in the bottom floor is EXCELLENT for both atmosphere and quality craft cocktails. The only thing I will say is for the price, it is a smaller room and smaller bathroom - you are paying for location and quality, but it is a smaller space.

What an amazing hotel! My wife & I stayed here for a week in February, when the Dublin weather was still wet and chilly. Once we walked through the front doors, however, all that dreary weather was quickly forgotten. The hotel staff is the real radiant gem of the Fitz. The folks at the front desk ensured we had a room awaiting us after a very early flight into Dublin, with a mere phone call before we left Canada. The housekeeping staff did a world-class job, and someone always came by in the evening to ensure we were satisfied. Most amazing were the porters, who gave us some great insider tips for food and sights to see. The Fitz is centrally located on St. Stephen's Green park, a place where you could spend a blissful, relaxing day with friends and family. Trams run right in front of the Fitz. Dublin Pass buses, as well as regular city buses, can be caught right around the corner, well within walking distance. Speaking of walking distance- there are literally dozens of fantastic restaurants and coffee shops in this area of Dublin...and it'd be a shame to miss a single one of 'em! There are probably cheaper places to stay in Dublin, but not a one of 'em would be able to match the Fitzwilliam's hospitality and comfort.

Excellent hotel with amazing service. Front desk made efforts to have us a room available - at 9am! Which is above and beyond in my opinion. Turn down service delivered delicious chocolates. Bedrooms are brilliant - some with great views over the park. Very much recommended.
