  Arrived very late but the hotel managed a more than acceptable meal after the kitchen had closed. Comfortable hotel and friendly staff, well worth a visit

  I spent a lot of family occasions in my youth at the Glenside. Unfortunately it has not changed in the last twenty five years. Whilst I cannot comment on the rooms the bar is more like a canteen and quite uncomfortable. The function room is extremely drab and old fashioned....and the soup and sandwiches served to our group - zero love went into those sandwiches. I'm pretty sure it was the same recipe of soup I had there at my first holy Communion.

  A lovely little hotel. Rooms are nice and clean and very reasonably priced. My mum lost a very expensive ring during our stay. The staff searched everywhere and found it. Really impressed with all aspects of the service too. We are there for a Christmas party. There are probably 150 people there.... menu was great, food was pipping hot and the courses were served very promptly. Excellent overall... will definitely be back.

  Stayed in the Hillary Suite. Really needs some maintenance. No point in having a door key as the latch wad broken. Light switches missing their caps. Valves broken on radiators so heating stuck on all night. On the plus side the staff were really friendly and breakfast was good, albeit a bit small.
