  This was my first visit to the lads Clondalkin happy pear. Have to say the setting is really really nice. It was such a nice day but too cold for the staff to open their hugh doors onto the seating area outside. I ordered a small salad which was really tasty. Mint tea was nice too. The only thing that let the place down was the staff, who weren't all that busy but took their time in clearing way the dirty dishes from the tables. Which was a shame as it let's the place down a little......

  Very nice. One issue is the coffee; very flat and had an odd taste. Maybe they use soya milk or something, asking the customer which they prefer would be good if that's the case.

  Having talked about visiting The Happy Pear in Clondalkin for ages I was really excited to finally get there today. I opted for the Mushroom Chowder for €9.50. The chowder looked amazing but unfortunately was not hot enough. I was informed by the staff member that they didn't use a microwave and she then checked the temperature of the soup using a temperature probe which showed it was in excess of 80 degrees - which, in my view, is not hot enough. The accompanying bread was toasted but was so hard I couldn't bite down on it and just gave up. This together with having to clear off the table before we used it was a real disappointment.

  Beautiful breakfast- I had the pancakes and avocado toast. Service is a bit laid back, could be more prompt but overall lovely venue and good food. Great for a place to have veggie options for once! Pretty reasonable price also. Plan on revisiting for lunch menu

  Haven't been to the HP in Greystones but if this one is anything to go by, I'm sure it's great. Really nice venue at the round tower, nice bits of history and heritage dotted around the place. Lovely colourful decor! The Buddha Bowl is superb, it's all I have eaten in here the few times I have been in. Everything else looks great. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, for example, a lady in front of me who stated that she had allergies was greeted with someone from behind the counter with a folder full of information, and went through the whole menu with the lady explaining what was what, and helped her to order something suitable. That was fantastic service. I've only had coffee from the take away counter and it's right up there with the best coffee I've had in years. There's something unique about the tastes that I haven't taste before and is hard to explain. I will keep drinking more until I can put my finger on it... Well done lads!
