  Excellent midwives, doctors and staff. So helpful and reassuring throughout my entire pregnancy and during and after the birth of my daughter. Facilities in public outpatients are a little outdated but then again the hospital dates back to the Victorian era! The staff are second to none, cannot thank them enough for all their help and support. I went semi private and the postnatal ward was great, shared with 4 others, lovely clean facilities and round the clock support.

  If you are planning on delivering in a different country and still need to have your normal appointments to attend to in Ireland please DO NOT USE this hospital. Admin are horrendous!!! It took numerous emails and multiple phone calls and in the end I sent an email saying “I’m begging you for my file or a response with the date I will receive it”. It takes 28days to process your file to be sent manually they will not tell you, the 3rd person eventually told me as I was crying on the phone in frustrating, if they offer the alternative by sending it by email please keep in mind it takes the same length of time, 28days. Do not believe them when they say just send an email of consent and we will send you your file, both options take the same length of time. I can not recommend any other hospital as I didn’t attend any other in Ireland other than here, but with the stress of moving at nearly 20weeks this was totally unnecessary. With all of the private scans we had and the information given at them along with a letter from my GP listing my medical history and the hospital quizzing me for 3 hours at the 12week scan they have incorrectly recorded some of my medical history and I am now trying to have this fixed between my GP in Ireland and my Maltese doctor as I cannot trust Holles Street to correct it. Choose your hospital wisely even if it is for something like access to your file, the undue stress and panic it caused has made me decide never to have children in Ireland. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

  The entire baby delivery was superb. Staff were amazing. It's the public recovery rooms that made us feel a bit not comfortable with the process. Otherwise a great hospital to deliver your child they will do what's best for the child and the mother and try to get you there with a natural delivery.
