  The medical staff are amazing in this hospital but they are massively understaffed. We were seen to promptly and in a bed within 45 minutes. The administration staff were rude and would not let me see what I had to sign for my son, but as there was an emergency I had to sign. My son had an overnight stay, and the ladies bathroom was closed for cleaning all afternoon, evening and the next morning so I tried the disabled toilet which was filthy. There was no one at reception to report the matter to so I had to go to the pub across the road. Parking is expensive too.

  Very fast went into a&e and I was 40 mins waiting and then I was brought inside about 40 mins again but in the end it turned out grand. The people that were there before me were still there 7 hours later tho so u do need a doctors letter to push your self up the list. But parking was a mess out side And very welcomeing

  I had a major operation in the maternity unit three weeks ago and I wish to thank Dr Katherine Astbury and her surgical team for being so professional and also very caring - I could not have asked for better care. I would also like to thank all the nursing staff who helped me through some pretty frightening nights.= they were all wonderful. I am now on the road to recovery and can never thank them all enough. I could not fault any of the staff for one single thing. They are all overworked but still find time to give you encouragement = thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

  Some departments are better than others. I will say all the staff are excellent in their jobs. They are clearly under staffed in departments but they always do their best with the resources they have. Anytime I have been there i have had a good standard of professional care and the staff were very good to me. Everyone has different experiences of the Health Service Executive.
