Wow. Pitiful. Dirty tissues with blood laying everywhere, needles in puddles of blood.. a complete germ pool. Rude nurses. Nurse gave my husband an allergic reaction and had no clue how to insert a needle to draw blood, and then got angry and pissy when he was upset about having an allergic reaction. Also no rooms for people just crappy beds in hallways, felt like the apocolypse. I'm still amazed at how this place isn't brimmed with lawsuits against it, maybe it is. Do yourself a favour and just make the trip to Cork if not an emergency

The staff at this hospital are very helpful and make sure your well looked after there is always a long wait but its the norm in most hospitals, its a University hospital like Wexford hospital so its busy with student doctors and nurses everywhere. The parking is almost maxed out at present, hope the construction work that's on going is a multi storey car park. The cafeteria is good, can be packed out at breakfast and lunch times, still there is always the shop opposite which is all good.

An utterly dreadful experience. Accosted by a rude and arrogant overpaid doctor for daring to check my name in a queue when there was no nurse or receptionist in site and this was after 2 hours of hanging around. Death would be preferable to going to that place again, which is only interestes in rip off parking charges and clamping (there are more signs about this than anything medical) and not providing any service to the overburdened Irish tax payer. Avoid, avoid , avoid!!!!!!

They do not have any dressings for people with an allergic reaction to the regular dressings in A&E. I think one need go no further. Unbelievable, No privacy afforded patients for medical examinations, as the people who supposedly upgraded A&E a few years ago, only allowed 3 private rooms for examinations. And 2 of those are used by triage nurses. WHAT WILL THEY DO IF THERE IS SOME KIND OF DISASTER IN THE LOCALITY??? Shouldn't heads roll? But of course, we are talking about the HSE. That will never happen
