::I recently purchased blinds and chairs from abbey furniture and I have to say my experience has been way less than satisfactory. The blinds i ordered were a month behind schedule with no clear explanation offered and when they eventually arrived one of them was measured wrong!! My sister was on site at the time and the installer explained they were easy to put in and we should be able to fit ourselves when it finally arrived!! You can imagine my reaction so I called Celine ( abbey furniture) and said no way would I install myself so subsequently I waited 3 more weeks for said blind. The chairs I was told would be delivered in six weeks max as they came from Spain but in fact I waited 10 weeks. Today I paid the bill in full and requested maybe a slight discount for all the inconvenience caused and was instructed by Catherine that she didn't think so as abbey furniture were " very keenly priced!!" I asked to speak to Celine with whom I was originally dealing with but she was with another customer. I explained to her that I was planning on buying beds also and had discussed it with Celine at the time of purchasing the blinds but seeing as I had such poor service I would no longer deal with abbey furniture. I was apologized to but I still paid in full. Bottom line folks shop around there is plenty of competition and don't be fooled. Enda Kenny recently said Ireland was the best little country in the world to do business. I rest my case.
