  Would not reccomend getting a student loan. I got one to pay my fees in first year and they promised low interest. I missed a few repayments and the loan was restructured to include high interest. A direct debit was then set up to ensure i payed on time but the dates always changed when the money was taken out and i was charged 10e everytime this happened. So now after 3 years I've been charged at least 300e in dd fees and im only after realising that I didnt need the dd in the first place as long as I pay the loan every month. Also, the money is still taken out from my account even though it is supposedly a current account and over st patricks weekend my account was -90 for an entire week. They then redebitrd my account to 80 for the fee a week later. I don't understand these fees and it will be interesting to see how much I will end up paying on a supposedly low interest loan. I have almost graduated but I've also got an education in AIB and will get my next loan from maybe bank of ireland across the n11!
