Your address changed? Your premium is increased. You swap your car for a newer same cc's? Your premium is increased. Reason being (official): Ah lad we're paying more in claims than we receive. Reason being (my version): You want to reward your stakeholders capital by 12%!!! This looks more like a scam than an insurer!

Only giving 1 star as it's not possible to give less than that. Absolutely the worst possible customer service I've ever ever had. Their customer service policy says "We aim to deliver the very highest standards of customer care." That is so blatantly false, it's hilarious. Extraordinarily long wait times (over 20 minutes) are standard. Rude and aggressive staff who don't know what's possible and don't perform follow up is what's to be expected. The attached photo is the accident that happened to me. Someone crashed into me and caused me to hit a wall. This happened before the Dublin office opened so I got through to a woman in the London office. She was nice. That's where the empathy or concern stopped. I asked if I should send in a photo of the car but was told, "a photo could make the damage look worse than it is." The gardai and everyone who saw the photo said I was lucky to be alive. Not Allianz though. The crash was bad but dealing with Allianz worse. Imagine being told (after a 15 minute wait to get through) on a Thursday, that doing something on a policy is possible. Then calling up on the following Saturday, waiting for over 20 minutes to get through, only to be shouted at and told that it's not possible - being told that I have an attitude and that I'm telling the person how to do their job. And in the end, it was doable! And the crazy thing is, that wasn't out of the ordinary for dealing with you! It was the worst but not by much. What about the time I was told I'd get one amount from my claim only to be told, when I called to confirm it, the person who sent me the email was still in training and it was a mistake and that I would get a different amount? Who let that happen? What about the time I had to go days without a car because the hire car wasn't authorised. Then it was authorised but not organised. Someone put a remark on the system that it was requested but I had to follow up on it to actually get it? I offered to organise it myself but was told that wouldn't be covered under the policy. What about the time I called to see if there was an update on my claim only to be told it was pending my bank details. Couldn't use my existing bank details that i'm using to pay the premium by direct debit? No? Ok, whatever - not that big of a deal. What really galls me is the statement that someone tried to call me to get this information. No they didn't. There was no call. Just a remark on the system saying someone tried to call me. Just the one call, was it? There was no follow up email, no text, nothing on my allianz, nothing whatsoever. You send out new policy discs and continue direct debits but can't send 1 email saying "Please provide bank details". It's all well and good sponsoring the GAA, TV shows, charities and things like that but if you don't actually look after your customers, what good is it? You get insurance for piece of mind - I've damn near lost mine dealing with Allianz. Could not recommend them less.

That's the worst car insurance I never came across in my life. The incompetence and inefficiency of their employee it's outrageous. I payed for my insurance 4 MONTHS AGO and I'm still waiting for it. I've called a number of times, sent a number of emails and mails, went to the branch in dublin 12, and I'm still waiting. It's a scam. NEVER, NEVER buy any insurance from them. That's behind ridiculous. I'm going to sue them asap.
