  EDIT: THIS CAFE IS NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Just had a quick cuppa in Avalon Café. It's small, but perfectly formed. Good coffee (Martley Coffee), and a nice selection of Java Republic fruit and herbal teas. Food-wise, they have a good range, from homemade sausage rolls and various savory pastries, lasagne, quiche, to healthy soups (some are vegan friendly), to sweet treats including scones, croissants, Danish, bakewell tarts, and a variety of chocolate squares. I was there later in the afternoon so I'm sure I didn't see the full range. All topped off with a really knowledgeable and friendly proprietor. I'll be back.

  Very good customer service. Not too many vegetarian options unfortunately but recommended for soups and teas.

  The nicest coffee I have had for a long time and a cosy little place to rest your feet abd catch up with emails.
