::Bought a throw when playing rugby on tour through Ireland. I gave it to my mum as a gift, and forgot about it. She passed away just four years after and it became my dads. He just passed, and I found it in the mess of his estate. It was covered in mouse poop, quite dirty and looked to me to be eaten alive by moths. undaunted, I had it dry cleaned. I just picked it up and its actually quite perfect. I began the winter-long task of tasseling the fringe. (I edited this because I called it purling, which I thought I knew how to do until I actually learned how to purl fringe. And there's no knot in purling a fringe!) As I pull each bunch of fringe and twist then tie it, I realize the incredible effort required to make a simple handmade lifetime (or several) throw. My son will give this to his son, and none of them will remember how they got it but perhaps each will write a review.
