  Food good service good. Noisy. Overpacked. Unable to read menu or see food clearly because of lighting.

  I felt I must put pen to paper to express my disappointment after being at a Christmas party in bon appetit. The menu was limited to just 2 choices for each course but more importantly the room we were in was cold and bitterly cold if you were unfortunate enough to be sitting at the entrance door to the room. The bathroom was warmer than where we were eating . There was a beautiful fireplace in the room with two lovely lamps on either side neither of which were switched on despite asking on numerous occasions ....I think the waitress said the fire did not work but we were sitting in bright overhead light. Ambience was certainly lacking here...when ordering drinks we were advised they didn’t take cash ...only cards!!!! Eventually a portable heater was wheeled in which made little impact. My colleague ordered the beef dish which I believe they were looking for a 5 euro supplement and despite asking for it to be cooked medium it was cremated ....in fairness they did offer to replace it but it was so long coming she didn’t bother and the accompanying vegetable was potatoes and bowls of carrots ....and I mean bowls!!! Having seen the early bird menu which seems great value and a great selection I really felt our offering was quite limited !!
