  Terrible experience with Brennans. My wife was feeding small bits of a bagel to my 1 year old son while eating some herself. She "luckily" found a stone in the bagel just before she gave it to my son. She phoned Brennans to tell them and they sent somebody straight away who took the stone and said he'd be in touch. My wife naively let him take the stone as she thought it was the right thing to do in case anybody else would be effected. A week later she received a letter stating that indeed the item was a stone and they weren't sure where it came from. Included was a money order for €20. She didn't do it for money but that's how Brennans wanted to rectify it....a paltry token. When my wife contacted the FSAI they told her she should have kept the stone as Brennans would discard it so nothing else could be done. I think the whole incident was handled by Brennans solely with the view of doing the smallest amount possible to make it go away.
