  Poor standards, spa jacuzzi and pool were freezing. Disappointing for Bunratty. Really nice lady working the bar during the evening. Reception not very informative on arrival.

  my family and I stayed here over Christmas and the new year. We paid an absolute fortune for the room €280 per night for 4 nights. The pool and facilities were broken due to a boiler problem. The children were so disappointed as it was the main reason we went there. When I complained we were offered one single free dinner with our next stay. We have been coming her for years and I find it horrific to be treated this way. We were also asked to pay up front with no option to pay when we left. The food was not good but thankfully a few fab restaurants near by. Rooms were lovely but the family feel you always got when staying here is gone. Wedding only hotel as with one lobby you won't have space to move and enjoy if not part of a wedding party. Will never stay here again and shame on them for insulting us with a free dinner. Not even dinner for the entire family a laughable one free meal.

  This is beautiful hotel. Located just outside limerick. Fantastic facilities, spa pool etc. Great food. Good Craic at the bar.

  I am rating the hotel with included breakfast experience for 109 euro. We stayed here at the last minute due to travel plans. Hotel - very nice overall. Comfy to luxurious in most ways. Bathroom had a fair amount of mold in the tub area...not expected for a place that clearly thinks itself to be superior and charges accordingly. Breakfast - setting in the Library with real fire in fireplace...very nice. Food...horrible. Irish breakfast components served in a most unappetizing buffet style...with poor texture... they tasted just as bad as they looked. We have been in Ireland for a week staying at out of the way B&B's for much less money and the food at all was outstanding. I had an Irish breakfast on a roll from a garage that was vastly better than today. To top it off, the waitstaff left the service door open so it was hard to hear ourselves while eating due to thier conversations and prep noise. That's all fine in a pub setting but again this is not a pub setting. Don't eat here...stay the night if luxury is your priority then go get breakfast from someplace that takes a bit of pride in the cooking and service.

  We had afternoon tea in the Library today and it was excellent. Gorgeous setting, lovely staff, excellent food and service. It was great value for money and a lovely day out too. Highly recommended. The photo is of it half eaten at that stage. :)
