  Beautiful hotel with great staff. Stayed here on a few occasions for weddings always excellent food and atmosphere.

  We stayed in the walled apartments last weekend as part of our hen weekend, they were beautiful and really spacious. The staff were so nice and treated us like V. I. Ps despite our fancy dress antics. Special thanks to Cathie who was fantastic from our first contact, she was so helpful despite how busy she was. Thank you Castle Dargan for a great weekend.

  When you're due to get married in the midst of the 'Beast from the East' to say there were a few worries and concerns would be an understatement but Castle Dargan could not have done more. From their exceptional customer service (not just front of house but each and every member of the team) to their extordinary level of attention to detail, our entire wedding experience could not have been better! Now let me put this into context, we got married at the ages of 33 and 36, we've been to plenty of weddings and my wife... well she has an incredible eye for detail and her wedding day had been planned for at least 32 years! and when you have 50% of your guests stranded around the world including all of my (the grooms) immediate family the day could easily have gone south! But no Siobhan (GM) and the front of house team answered a million phone calls with smiles and positivity and were determined to deliver a day that for all our guests was exceptional! (And like my bride her family have exceptionally high standards too!) I can honestly say that without pep talks from Siobhan the day would not have happened! The hotel provided a personalized service that made us feel like we were the only ones in the world. They did everything in their power to overcome each of the challenges that were presented and even proactively prepared back plans to help us if those times came. The emotional support they provided went far beyond what could or would be expected or is rated in the hospitality industry! (We went for a mini moon to a near by 5 star hotel and they could have learnt more than a thing or two from the team at Castle Dargan!) In the few days we spent with them they became our friends. I am now married to the most amazing women in the world and the most amazing day was only made possible by those who weathered the worst storm in 35 years and gave us our perfect day!

  Stayed for a wedding nearby in early feb. The staff were just superb from the moment we arrived til the moment we left. Not the most glamorous hotel I have stayed in but the beds were super comfortable, and the rooms nice and clean. And the price of the stay was incredible value especially with the quality of the breakfast that was included. Would happily stay again if we were in the area.
