::Although the common areas of this hotel are beautiful and the food is nice we absolutely hated staying there and it almost ruined our whole trip to Dublin. The room was rundown and the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. To top it off there was no water in the hotel for 3 out of the 4 nights we had booked and there was almost no notice given about this. We found out about the water being taken out about 40 minutes in advance the second night of our stay and in the letter there was no mention of this applying to more than one night so when returning to the hotel the next evening it was a surprise not to have bathroom access - again. We fled and did not stay for the last night of our booked stay. The only decent thing about this hotel was that we got a partial refund and could stay elsewhere our last night. Never again.

::We stayed on new years eve. The electric went off in the bathroom with the trip switch going. Phoned reception and was told someone would be up but no one arrived. My partner ended up climbing on a chair and finding the trip switch. We phoned for room service and received no answer. Reception said that would get restaurant to ring us which they eventually did. We made our order and waiting well over an hour for food which came up wrong and without one of the items. When the waiter returned with the item it was also wrong and we asked him to take it back and we would do without. Informs reception next morning who said money would be refunded back onto card and it wasn't. I made a complaint following this to management who apologized and offered us another stay at a reduced rate. We are yet to confirm a date but the management were prompt in their response which I commend.

::A very clean and inviting entrance to the hotel lobby. With very helpful staff when booking in . When entering our room for the first time we were very pleasantly surprised by the well layed out and the cleanliness of the room . Very comfortable bed and a welcoming page popping up on the TV when the room card was put into the slot. Great car parking fecalities and we felt our car was safe where we parked it for the weekend. The breakfast was excellent and filled us for a day of shopping in the city centre which was only a few minutes away by taxi which was arranged by the friendly staff and arrived in minutes. Overall we had a very pleasant stay with nothing to complain about or be disappointed with . Would give this hotel 5 out of 5 and would be delighted to stay here again.

::looks a bit grand and unwelcoming to an outsider. Don’t be put off. March right in and down the stairs to the bar and restaurant. Great atmosphere after rugby game next door at RDS. BIG TIP: You’re in Ireland so don’t expect that they queue at the bar. As i found out..the bar staff will respond to customers 3 deep behind you before they will glance at someone politely waiting in turn. Shout out loud to get your order in.

::Great location and very visually appealing building. Staff were great and very friendly. The rooms were above average but needed a revamp. As it happened they are currently doing the revamp of the hotel. Good points:staff, location, price and the breakfast was very good with a wide selection. Bad points: the revamp work started with hammering above our room at 8:00 am, the car park is nuts to park in and you have to pay to park there. Finally the pillows were like sleeping on rocks so the whole family had issues sleeping. I'd stop here again after the revamp just for the staff and the breakfast.
