::Lovely hotel - shame another guest got into my room as I was getting changed. I stayed overnight in the hotel as part of a birthday weekend shopping trip. I was readying myself to leave the following morning around 10am and I was mid dressing when I heard the door open and a Spanish woman walked in on me. She was a absolutely horrified and as soon as she saw me ran out of the room. I was in the ruby suite on the 6th floor. How does this happen ? How did her room card also fit mine ? As we checked out I told this to the clerk who deemed it “impossible” yet I pointed to the woman who happened to be in the lobby at the same time and informed him that was the woman who was in the room but he simply looked disingenuous and dismissed it. It was such a shame that a birthday trip in what was a lovely hotel was marred by this experience. I understand these things happen but my issue is with how the hotel handled it. Disappointed.

::Room was good and clean. Food needs improvement. High price meals with low quality. The only thing edible was the soups. Vegan food served with yogurt? Meat dishes loaded with fat and grizzle, consistent with untrained cooks.

::Service is poor Edit after response from owner: detailed review: I gave 4 stars for all other thing of best quality but service was poor. I went for drinks in the bar, nobody came to provide us menu or to shows us our seats. After somehow finding menu we ordered drinks that also took a lot of time. Over all slow customer service.

::Visited this hotel only briefly for coffee as I was attending a meeting in the Central Park area. The lobby is nice and bright, very tidy. Toilets were spotless, which I find is always a good sign of overall cleanliness. I didn't dine here on this occasion, but hopefully will in the near future. Overall, my impression was very good, but without staying there and using all their facilities, I cannot give a full analysis. Will definitely return to eat soon, judging by my first impression

::It's almost as good as home from home. The staff are relaxed and have a sense of humour and their service is swift and professional. The rooms are very pleasant, quiet, with heat when needed and prompt hot water. Small touches mater like the bowed shower curtain. Two minor thing could possibly be improved. The first is a brighter light in the room for when required, the bedside light are the best that I have seen, the other thing is the marble threshold into the bathroom is a little sharp. The could be improved in several way. One way would be a tapered shim, strip of wood or plastic under the carpet on the outside and a 1/4 round nosing on the inside. Food for thought perhaps? If you step on this it is uncomfortable but if you stub you toe on it is far worse.
