Fabulous, atmospheric, romantic and secluded. Delicious home cooked food using herbs and vegetables from the garden. A warm welcome and a great nights sleep in the peace and quiet. Loved it!

Coopershill is a delightful, Historic Irish Country Manor house in Co Sligo, with a friendly welcome. The surrounding woods and countryside are beautiful, and the locally sourced food is wonderful

I capped my three week trip to Ireland in October with a gorgeous stay in this elegant Irish manor and I feel so fortunate to have had the experience. Simon O’Hara and his family have created an incredible opportunity for us to get a glimpse of this way of life in such an authentic setting, their own home for eight generations. I felt that at every turn, with the paintings of their family and of journeys to other lands, heirlooms and collections from generations past, the furniture and table settings, it was so genuine, gracious and real. Simon is an elegant host, and yet both he and Christine are so down to earth, with their gardens and the venison farm central to this experience, mud boots and rain gear at the door, and their engaging young son Finn playing in the entry, that I felt immediately comfortable, even as a solo traveler. My visit started with discovering the magic key that opens the huge oak entry door. I loved my room, such simple elegance and so comfortable, luxurious clawfoot tub I used each afternoon, shades drawn and soft bed turned while at dinner, walks along their many trails in the autumn woods. I loved the amazing meals and tea time, and before and after dinner socializing in the parlor, lovely wines and cocktails, even went horseback riding, bringing along other house guests for beach and bog horse trek. This is an experience I will always remember, and long for another time… thank you so much.
