  I rang loads of insurance companies looking for a good quote and got talking to Robert in Cross Insurance. I got reasonable quotes from a rival insurance companies and Robert managed to find the price and policy type I was looking for. I'm really happy I found them and would recommend them and Robert highly.

  I would never recommend this broker to anyone. The customer service is atrocious, in particular from Michael. I rang to get a quote on a new car, I spoke to Robert who advised me the cover could be switched and no fee would apply, I went ahead and purchased the car when I was sent a letter saying an additional 168 would be taken from my account, Shocked, I called and cancelled straight away and went and purchased a different car. A lot of hassle. There was an additional payment of 110 for the second car although cross wanted to charge me the full amount for the previous car even though this was cancelled. A lot of time and inconvenience trying to get this problem sorted that cross insurance had created. Eventually, they told me it was sorted and the correct payment would come out in July which was my last installment for this year, When the 1st of July came turns out that they never even called axa to sort this and just assured me they did to stop me calling. Axa had this noted on their system, that there had been no communication from Cross insurance. I called up and spoke to Michael from Cross Insurance, frustrated this had been going on for two months and the wrong amount had been debited from my account, when Michael rudely told me 'I am sick of you calling, it's out of our hands! Call Axa or the Ombudsman if you are not happy' and HANGS UP on me!!!! imagine hanging up on a customer who is paying you to provide a service. This broker is more hassle than it's worth, the staff are extremely rude, the opening hours are terrible and more times than not there is no answer when you call. I am putting this review up so other people do not have the same problems and hassle that I did. Stay away from Cross Insurance in Ballyfermot.
