::Thanks much!!! Yeah, it's difficult to find an appointment but it is surely the most genial and professional embassy in Dublin. The people working at the embassy are courteous and welcoming. You just need to get your documents in place and book an appointment EARLY to avoid any disappointment and there you go! I've had some bitter experiences with other embassies and hence I decided to go for Dutch this time and voila.. Thank you Netherlands again - I'll be visiting you every year now!!!

::No appointment for almost three months! I am only leaving in six weeks and will now have to cancel my trip as they are unwilling to help in any way. They just say that I can keep watching to see if someone cancels an appointment and that they are aware that people are having issues, but it's not their problem

::Very disappointed! Where do I begin? What does "on the way" mean? Is this some kind of joke? Does it take a week for a passport to fly from Amsterdam to Dublin. It has crossed 15 days and I had to fly to the middle-east last week, I moved my flight to the weekend and now it's TUESDAY and still no sign of my passport. I e-mailed and called a dozen times and all they say is, "sorry it still hasn't arrived." "we told you there is a risk involved" - Really? Let me start with these facts- 1) Last I checked in January, there were no appointments available till the end of March. Why is it that there are no dates available but only until 2 weeks before anyone has to travel. 2) For just 2 days and 1 night in Amsterdam, why do I have to wait for more than 15 days for such a long tedious process? Even after sharing all the documents. 3) An international flight was booked in October of last year for Mid April and had to be changed twice and an emergency request was sent out to the embassy, but NO response. 4) The contact desk's only line was- "it's on the way" (Is there no track of courier?) We are living in the 21st century where emergency exceptions are accepted and understood. This is the first schengan country to have caused me so much pain. I now get to spend from 8 days home to 2 days , thanks for all your help!
